How to install slim wall-fix curtain tracks (single)
Use our step-by-step guide to install your new slim wall-fix curtain track like a pro.
Installing the brackets
Locate the position you measured when ordering your curtains. For wall-fix installations, the brackets attach directly to the wall surface.
Remember the top of your curtains should sit 5mm higher than the top of your track, or if using a rod, they will sit flush with the underside of the rod.
Tip
Use a stud finder to locate timber framing behind the wall lining.
Bracket positioning
Ideally, fix the first and last brackets into timber framing behind the wall lining within 250mm of each end of the track.
Securing the brackets
- If no timber is available within 250mm of the ends, use suitable wall anchors or plugs and position the first and last brackets within 100mm of each end of the track.
- Space the remaining brackets evenly between them, with a maximum spacing of 700mm apart.
Fit the track
(a) Hook the back edge of the track into the bracket first.
(b) Push the track backwards until it clicks securely into place.
