How to install linked roller blinds - Inside fit

Use our step-by-step guides to install your new blinds like a pro.

What you need

  • Pencil Pencil
  • Tape measure Tape measure
  • Electric screwdriver Electric screwdriver
  • #2 square drive #2 square drive
  • Spanner Spanner
  1. Step 1

    1 x universal end bracket

    2 x screws

Decide how far back in the sill you want your blind to sit and fix one universal end bracket inside the window frame in the top left hand corner of the window using two of the screws provided.

  2. Step 2

    1 x universal end bracket

    2 x screws

Repeat step 2 on the right side of the window measuring the same distance back from the front of the frame.

  3. Step 3

    Install the middle bracket.

    (a) for dependant blinds

    (b) for independant blinds.

  4. Step 4

Install the blind with the male adapter first. To fit the system, insert the clutch into the bracket until it engages, then slide the bearing at the other end into the link bracket. (If it doesn’t go in easily,  slightly rotate the bearing until it slides into the bracket).

  5. Step 5

Install the female adapter blind. Take the blind with the adjuster and place it over the triangular shaft. Compress the idler pin and slide it into the centre hole of the bracket until the pin pops into position.

  6. Step 6

Use the Spanner to level the blinds. Once secured, use the wheel on the Infinite Adjuster to adjust the level of the bottom rail on the slave blind until it becomes level with the first blind. The levelling can be performed in both UP and DOWN direction.

  7. Step 7

Lift the blind up to the window with the controls on the side selected when ordering.

Place the spring pin-end into the bracket first (the opposite end to the chain).

    Tip

Always handle blinds with clean hands to avoid leaving marks or damaging the material.

  8. Step 8

Applying pressure toward the pin end (to depress the pin), move the chain end of the blind into the bracket.

Pull down gently until the hooks set into the bracket .

  9. Step 9

Remove the rubber band from the chain to operate the blind.

  10. Step 10

Attaching ball stops ensures the blind is not wound up or down too far, preventing damage.

    (a) Roll the blind to the top of its range, note the position on the chain and attach a ball stop.

    (b) Roll the blind to the bottom of its range, note the position on the chain and attach a ball stop.

  11. Step 11

1 x child safety tensioner with screw

Place the tensioner over the chain and let hang to determine its fixing position before attaching using the screws provided.

    Tip

Don’t pull the chain too tight, leave a little bit of give to make operating the blind easier.
